Before & After Henna Care Instructions
Information About Our Henna Paste:
We use Suraja Rajasthani Henna Powder. The henna paste is all natural and only contains henna powder, lemon juice, organic cane sugar and essential oils. This natural paste will first appear green when applied and will dry to a dark brown color. If instructions are followed, an all natural paste can produce a great stain that may range from a burgandy to a very dark brown stain.
The color of the henna stain depends on many factors, including your body temperature, the time the paste is in contact with your skin, where the henna is applied, and how well you care for your henna. A typical henna tattoo will last 1-3 weeks.
Henna Before Care:
Before henna application, make sure your hands are free from chemicals and products such as hand lotions/ creams, oils, hand sanitizers. In addition, you will be instructed to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water.
Henna After Care:
Henna paste dries in about 20-45 minutes depending on whether it is a heavy or simple design
Once the paste is dry you may apply a mixture of lemon juice and sugar by lightly dabbing it onto the paste with a cotton ball. This will keep the paste sticking to your skin for longer and will also enhance the color.
Keep the henna paste on for additional 4-12 hours for a dark stain. The longer you keep on your paste the longer your stain will last and the darker it’ll be.
Once the dried henna falls off, be cautious of water for atleast 8-10 hours.
Henna appears orange at first and darkens to a reddish brown color. It takes approximate 48 hours for henna to reach a reddish brown color.
To keep your stain from fading, during water contact, you may apply Olive Oil/ Vaseline (to repel the water) for a longer lasting stain.
